After identifying areas most at risk, we revisited adaptation solutions proposed by the city before this CRA project. Nature-based solutions can help lowering local temperatures. The assessment of the vegetation cover in the city could indicate spaces in the high-risk areas where Nature-based Solutions would be needed. Based on this project, the City Architects office asked for accommodating the workflow for testing proposed infrastructure changes and their impact on local climate before even approving the proposed investment’s. In this way, the investors may be asked for relevant adaptation changes to be included in their project.
